- I am a United Methodist minister retired from serving churches. I began serving my first church in September of 1973 in the West Ohio Conference. Since then, I have served 12 churches in 3 states, 4 Annual Conferences and as a United Methodist I have also had the opportunity to be interim pastor of 2 non-Methodist congregations. I have also worked as a counselor, spiritual director, hospital chaplain, campus minister, and publisher of a spiritual formation newsletter. I have been active in leading spiritual retreats including, The Walk to Emmaus since 1983 and Chrysalis since 1991. I have 2 grown sons. Formal education includes: B.S. in Psychology, Purdue University 1967; M.Div. United Theological Seminary 1975; Certificate in Spiritual Formation, Perkins School of Theology 1985; M.A. program in Pastoral Counseling and Spiritual Direction, Fordham University 1989. After 30 years in Texas I have moved back home to Dayton Ohio. Since May of 2007 I have been on staff of the Pohly Center for Supervision and Leadership Formation at United Theological Seminary (Methodist). My work is integrating leadership growth and faith growth.
